More about Acacia and Cosmo...

(Click on the pics to enlarge)

Last week I posted a Byte about Cosmopolitan Middle East starting up and my daughter, Acacia, being the art director.

Above and below are some pics of the launch party of Cosmo ME in Dubai, where she is now living. Acacia is second from the left in the pic above, standing in front of her Cosmo cover.

In case anyone is wondering how CME will go down in countries such as Iran and Iraq, it will circulate only in Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain,  Oman, Qatar.

Some Cosmo trivia:

Cosmopolitan was first published in 1886 in the United States as a family magazine, was later transformed into a literary magazine and eventually became a women's magazine in the late 1960s when the name was changed from The Cosmopolitan to just Cosmopolitan.

March, 1894 cover

Another radical and controversial step was to feature Burt Reynolds as a nude centrefold in 1972:

Cosmopolitan has 63 international editions worldwide published in 34 languages with distribution in more than 100 countries making Cosmopolitan the largest selling young women’s magazine in the world.
